Located in Cabarete, Puerto Plata, Viva Wyndham Tangerine is famous for its relatively dangerous beach which, ironically, is perfect for those willing to tame its waves.
Viva Wyndham Tangerine is more than meets the eye
I’ve got to admit that I feel pretty dumb right now, mainly because I wasn’t really looking forward to visiting Viva Wyndham Tangerine at first. Can you blame me? I recently visited V Samaná, an adults-only resort that taught me the virtues of not having to deal with noisy children. However, even a grumpy loner like me has to admit that visiting a place as lively as Tangerine can be invigorating.
Going back to the relatively dangerous beach, I can’t even begin to tell you the insane amount of fun I had body surfing (My only regret is not having recorded this). Yes, if you are in the mood for surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing or anything that requires furious waves, this is definitively the place for you!
Anyhow, even if you don’t like extreme water sports, there is still a lot to experience here. The pool is great and located in a very lively place (Trust me, the Animation Staff won’t let you bat an eye, those guys and girls know how to have fun). You will also have plenty of restaurants to visit, I visited the Italian and I am still unable to forget the Margarita Pizza I had there, holy cow! That’s what I call delicious!
Keep an eye out for Saturdays, why? Because that’s Dominican night! (Even though having a Dominican night in the DR sounds kind of redundant lol) On top of all the delicious Dominican food that will be at your disposal, you will also have the opportunity to purchase endemic souvenirs from local craftsmen.
Well, there is a lot to say about Viva Wyndham Tangerine and the wondrous place where it is located, but I rather show you a video where I personally show you around the place.
